We live in a culture rampant with crisis of confidence (Dr James Dobson). In America today, youths and adults everywhere feel unloved by family, hated and disrespected by peers, out of control, and totally alone. This mindset, along with the vigorous promotion of anti heroes and greed centered entertainment in our culture, breeds many of the horrors seen in today’s headlines. Self defense training in our nurturing environment fosters confidence in personal value and abilities, a sense of direction, and the knowledge that we are never unloved or alone! All are loved by our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Martial arts training provides confidence and fortitude. The path to living God’s way (walking daily in love, peace, self- control, and perseverance) requires dedication and time. Self defense training provides a physical model to help focus this process. In martial arts, a few novice skills can be gained in a short time with little commitment. However, one must commit the mind to long term and thorough training to reap the rewards of becoming healthy, focused, and confident. Otherwise, he or she will fall away when work is involved. Growth ends and even the novice skills fail under duress. Living God’s way requires the same long term mind set, but in the higher spiritual sense. Physical training supports spiritual development.

Jesus said "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
